Marcia V. v. Alaska

In Marcia V. v. Alaska (Alaska 2009) 201 P.3d 496, the Alaska court reaffirmed its prior decisions holding that "pretrial interviews by the expert with the parties in a termination case 'are not required in every case.' A review of state records and summaries of relevant facts can be enough if they 'keep the experts' testimony sufficiently grounded in the facts and issues of the case.' " (Id. at p. 507.)
