In State v. Bonds, 201 Ariz. 203, 205, P 10, 33 P.3d 537, 539 (App. 2001the Court reviewed an order forfeiting a defendant's bond for failure to appear. The Court held that while "the later incarceration of a defendant in another jurisdiction after release on bond on an Arizona case is not reasonable cause for failure to appear," incarceration in another jurisdiction for a crime committed before the release on bond could constitute good cause when the incarceration was the expected outcome of the defendant's release.
