Fulkerson v. Thompson

In Fulkerson v. Thompson, 334 Ark. 317, 974 S.W.2d 451 (1998), the Court addressed a situation in which Fulkerson had appealed to this court from a lower court ruling that Progressive Church, Inc. adversely possessed a portion of his land. The Court reversed and remanded the case and held that the church did not adversely possess the land in question. After the case was remanded, the circuit judge allowed the church an additional six months to vacate the property. The Court held that the judge abused his discretion by exceeding the scope of the appellate mandate.
