Barbara A. v. John G

In Barbara A. v. John G. (1983) 145 Cal. App. 3d 369, the plaintiff consented to unprotected sexual intercourse with her attorney because the attorney represented he was unable to make her pregnant. As a result of sexual intercourse, the plaintiff became pregnant. The pregnancy was tubal, and the plaintiff was forced to undergo surgery to have her fallopian tube removed, rendering her sterile. ( Id. at pp. 374-375.) She brought an action to recover physical, emotional, and financial injuries as a result of the pregnancy. ( Id. at p. 375.)
