Helmer v. Bingham Toyota Isuzu

In Helmer v. Bingham Toyota Isuzu (2005) 129 Cal.App.4th 1121, the plaintiff quit his job where he was earning $5,700 to $6,000 a month and accepted a new position on the promise he would earn at least $5,700 a month. Once in the new position, he earned no more than $5,100 a month and he was terminated after he complained. He was unable to regain his old job. (Id. at pp. 1123-1125.) The court upheld a jury finding of promissory fraud. (Id. at pp. 1123, 1132.)
