In re Dennis C

In In re Dennis C. (1980) 104 Cal. App. 3d 16, a notation in the clerk's minutes stated that the court found that the minor's offense was a felony. On appeal, the People argued that this reflected the court's awareness of its discretion to treat the offense as a misdemeanor. In rejecting this argument, this court noted that the transcript of the hearing did not support the People's contention because the juvenile court did not state at that (or any other) hearing that it found the juvenile's offense to be a felony.
