In Camp v. Camp, 5 Conn. 291 (1824), both parties agreed that the defendant occupied under a claim of right for fifty-seven years without any interference from or interaction with the lessor's family and that the original lessor never owned or occupied the land. Id., 5 Conn. at 301-302.
