Hanford v. Fitch

In Hanford v. Fitch, 41 Conn. 486, 499-500 (1874), the plaintiff had "ample notice from the acts of the parties holding the land" that they were doing so under a claim of right and that the plaintiff abandoned the property when she left Connecticut nearly fifty years earlier.
