In re Elisabeth H

In In re Elisabeth H., 45 Conn. App. 508, 696 A.2d 1291, cert. denied, 243 Conn. 903, 701 A.2d 328 (1997), the respondent parents appealed from the judgment adjudicating their two minor daughters neglected, uncared for and abused. Id. at 509. During the pendency of the appeal, one daughter reached the age of majority. Id. Six days after this court heard oral argument, the second daughter reached the age of majority. Id. The Court held that the case was moot because "the minors . . . have reached their majority and no order of this court can affect them . . . ." Id. at 510.
