State v. Fletcher

In State v. Fletcher, 10 Conn. App. 697, 525 A.2d 535 (1987), aff'd, 207 Conn. 191, 540 A.2d 370 (1988) the Court stated: "The duty of the trial court in a criminal case is to instruct the jury on the law applicable to the case." Id. at 698. "The defendant is entitled to a jury which is correctly and adequately instructed." Id. at 701. "Each juror, through the foreperson, must be able to apply to the trial judge for the purpose of obtaining a clarification of the applicable law." Id. at 704.
