Treat v. Toum Plan & Zoning Commission

In Treat v. Toum Plan & Zoning Commission, 145 Conn. 136, 139 A.2d 601 (1958) the Court addressed similar language in the context of notice by publication for hearings on zoning amendments. The court held that the language "not less than ten days" in General Statutes (Cum. Sup. 1955) 375d "evidences the intention of the framers of the statute that the period should be ten full or clear days." Id., 138-39. In Treat, the notice was published on October 20, 1956, and the hearing was held on October 30, 1956. Id., 139. Consequently, the statutory requirement was not met.
