Abney v. District of Columbia

In Abney v. District of Columbia, 580 A.2d 1036, 1041 (D.C. 1990), the question of whether the police vehicle was an emergency vehicle on an emergency run was submitted to the jury in a special interrogatory with appropriate instructions. 580 A.2d at 1039-40. The court noted that consideration of how to instruct the jury on the issue "was necessary in light of controlling sections of the District of Columbia Code," D.C. Code 1-1212. Id. at 1039.
