In Woodard v. State, 269 Ga. 317 (496 SE2d 896) (1998), the Georgia Supreme Court declared unconstitutional an amendment to the Child Hearsay Statute that allowed the admission of hearsay statements made by a child under the age of 14 who witnessed an act of physical or sexual abuse inflicted upon another.
