In Cullinan v. Jefferson County, Ky., 418 S.W.2d 407 (1967) an individual was injured when he stepped into a hole while playing tennis on school grounds. He sued the school board and Jefferson County, which had an employee supervising the activities. In declining to find liability against the school board and the county, the Court explained that both were protected by sovereign immunity.
