Rine v. Chase

In Rine v. Chase (309 AD2d 796, 765 NYS2d 648 [2d Dept 2003]), the Appellate Division affirmed the dismissal of an action brought by a father against a social worker for reporting suspected child abuse based upon statements made by the children during therapy sessions with the social worker. The report of the suspected abuse was based upon the statements made directly from the children not, as here, from a third party.
