Camacho v. J.C. Tenorio Enter., Inc – Case Brief Summary (N.Mariana Islands)

In Camacho v. J.C. Tenorio Enter., Inc., 2 NMI 509, 511 (1992), an order solely concerning an award of attorney's fees, we looked to Rule 1.5 of the American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct to determine whether the number of hours charged was unreasonable and excessive. 2 NMI at 511.

While the Court awarded some fees, it did not award the appellee fees for reworking appellant's poorly worded and organized brief in order for it to write its own brief. Id.

The Court reasoned that there is a limit to what we will award fees for, and appellee reworking opposing counsel's brief into a better form was unwarranted. Id.
