The court explained in Krushwitz v. McDonald's Restaurants, 323 Ore. 520, 528, 919 P.2d 465 (1996), that "in view of this court's decision in Heide/Parker, it is clear that Oregon's special errand exception applies only when either the employee was acting in furtherance of the employer's business at the time of the injury or the employer had the right to control the employee's travel in some respect." 323 Ore. at 528.
