Cano v. State

In Cano v. State, 3 S.W.3d 99 (Tex. App.--Corpus Christi 1999, pet. ref'd), the defendants were convicted of delivery of a controlled substance. The Corpus Christi Court of Appeals held that the trial court did not abuse its discretion by admitting evidence that police had received information that the defendants were dealing drugs out of their house in order to show why the police had focused their investigation on the defendants. Id. at 110-11. Moreover, the court held that the probative value of the evidence was not substantially outweighed by the danger of unfair prejudice. Id. at 111.
