In Chastain v. Koonce, 700 S.W.2d 579, 583 (Tex.1985), the purchasers of five rural homesteads sued vendors for threats made over the telephone and alleged unconscionable action in violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). Id. at 580. But the court held that "the phone conversation occurred approximately one year after the alleged misrepresentations occurred and did not reflect on the unfairness of the original transaction." Id.
