Haire v. Nathan Watson Co

In Haire v. Nathan Watson Co., 221 S.W.3d 293 (Tex.App. -- Fort Worth 2007, no pet.), new homeowners sued the geotechnical engineering firm that had performed the soil analysis years before during the initial development stages of the subdivision. The court held the homeowners had standing to bring claims against the geotechnical engineering firm, because the structural damage to their home due to the excessive swelling of the soils beneath their home arose after they had purchased the home.
