Maritime Overseas Corp. v. Ellis

In Maritime Overseas Corp. v. Ellis, 886 S.W.2d 780 (Tex. App.--Houston 14th Dist. 1994, writ denied) the court held that the evidence presented by the plaintiff supported the jury's finding of causation. Id. at 793. The court heard testimony from numerous expert witnesses for the plaintiff, including four medical doctors, that the plaintiff's injuries were caused by Diazinon poisoning, an industrial strength pesticide to which he was exposed at high levels in an enclosed space. Id. at 787-91. The court found the expert testimony on causation was clearly based on reasonable medical probability. Id. at 791.
