In Morton v. Cont'l Baking Co., 938 P.2d 271, 274 (Utah 1997), the sanctioned party requested continuances twice, thereby delaying the trial for a year, failed to respond to interrogatories, failed to respond to a motion to compel or face dismissal, and failed to provide a timely response to a court order threatening dismissal if no response was received by a certain date.
