State v. Palmer

In State v. Palmer, 803 P.2d 1249 (Utah 1990), the court of appeals reversed a denial of a motion to suppress x-ray evidence that police had obtained from the defendant, who was accused of stealing and swallowing a diamond ring. Id. at 1251, 1253. There, the court held that exigent circumstances did not exist because the ring would have passed safely through the defendant's system. Id.
