Paquette v. Deere & Co

In Paquette v. Deere & Co., 168 Vt. 258, 263, 719 A.2d 410, 414 (1998), the Court denied the tort claims of purchasers of an allegedly defective motor home, holding that their claims for purely economic damages for the reduced value of the home was actionable under warranty rather than tort. Again, the Court stated that the purchaser's "loss relates to their disappointed commercial expectations, and thus is not recoverable under a theory of products liability." Id.
