White v. State
In White v. State, 131 Wn.2d 1, 929 P.2d 396 (1997), the Court declined to extend the tort of wrongful discharge to include wrongful transfers and refused to subject each disciplinary decision of the employer to judicial scrutiny.
"This is particularly true in instances like this one where an employee's rights are already protected by civil service rule, by collective bargaining agreement, and by civil rights statutes." Id. at 20.
