Dewing v. Cooper

In Dewing v. Cooper, 33 Wis. 2d 260, 147 N.W.2d 261 (1967) the defendants conceded that the res ipsa loquitur doctrine applied. See id. at 265. Therefore, the case boiled down to whether the defendants' proofs successfully rebutted the inference of negligence. The supreme court conducted this inquiry under the conventional standard for reviewing a jury verdict. See id.
