State v. Shiffra

In State v. Shiffra, 175 Wis. 2d 600, 499 N.W.2d 719 (Wis.Ct.App. 1993), the prosecutor had provided a defendant accused of sexual assault with information indicating that the complainant had a history of psychiatric problems that might affect her credibility. The defendant moved for an in camera inspection of the complainant's past mental health records, and the trial court found that the defendant had advanced sufficient cause for an in camera inspection to determine if the records contained evidence that would be material to the defendant. 499 N.W.2d at 720.
